Mass Weddings
Mass weddings are organized in the context of the directives of His Highness the UAE President to promote family cohesion and solidarity ties of the community included in the visions and missions of the National Agenda 2021 and affirm that strong social connections are the major element of any community. The mass wedding initiative encourages younger Emiratis to tie the knot by providing them with several facilities through reducing the costs of the wedding and reducing marriage expenses that are considered a financial burden for these younger generations.
Objectives:
1-Encourage Emirati men and women to participate in mass weddings especially
those who receive the marriage fund.
2-Strengthen family cohesion and community coherence index of the United
Arab Emirates.
3-Reviving Emirati customs, traditions and heritage in mass weddings.
4-Avoid social risks facing the community due to the high rate of spinsterhood,
marriage of foreigners and the delay in marriage age.
5. Rationalization of expenses among younger generations due to the current
economic situations.
6- Reduce manifestation and lavish expenses at weddings.
